We are a lost generation

hipster

"We are a lost generation, desperately clinging to anything that feels real, but too afraid to become it ourselves. We are a defeated generation, resigned to the hypocrisy of those before us, who once sang songs of rebellion and now sell them back to us. We are the last generation, a culmination of all previous things, destroyed by the vapidity that surrounds us".

Hehe, so you read this. There's a very good rebuttal article link posted in the Adbusters comment section, but I can't find it now. The point is that underground cool has become democratised and that those hating on the hipsters are just nostalgic. ;)

I've red this a couple of months ago. I think what is perceived to be unique and out of the box has become the mainstream. The hipster culture of today is not the real hipster of before. Today it's more of commercialism and a cult.

And for the record, I'm Too Fat To Be A Hipster. Lol...
